Overseas language training and exchange program in Boston, U.S.A

Program information
Local elementary and middle school students
American education professionals from Boston will visit and administer testing to the top 16 students in 2015 around September or October
Overseas language training program period : January 2016
Program length: 2 weeks
Course information :
  • Experience life at an American school

    *Students gain valuable information through this exchange, attending courses at some of the world’s most prestigious universities (Harvard, MIT)

    *Students get to directly experience advanced educational courses and cutting-edge scientific developments.

    *Students attend courses at private American schools and learn about American classroom culture

    *Students participate in the program after classes on campus have been dismissed

    *Students can have help adjusting to school life through our Buddy System

    *Students get to experience the life of an exchange student in America for a short period

  • Individual program to develop English skills

    *English reading/literature class to develop reading skills

    *Debate class to develop critical thinking skills

    *English teachers provide students with homework and tasks that reflect actual American school standards

    *Students prepare a free classroom presentation on their own

    *Students participate in a group project competition together with assigned mentors

  • Homestay Program

    *Emphasis on a well-rounded American educational experience

    *Advanced educational environment and student activities

    *Korean students from America’s top private schools

    *American daily life and family culture, and the education of children

    *Homestay program with local families

    *Experience American daily family life and environment

    *Fun and safe family weekend activities

  • Advantages

    *The program takes place during Changnyeong Day (hosted by the Korean Community Association)

    *A congratulatory address will be given by the governor of Changnyeong (Recorded for those who cannot attend)

    *Homestay program with elite American families- sponsored by the Korean Community Association

    The program includes a tour of famous tourist locations in New York City and Boston (Statue of Liberty, Times Square, etc.)

    *Changnyeong students are able to attend special courses at well-known American universities including Harvard and MIT

    *Each student keeps a diary in English of their study abroad experience, and the essays are collected and published into a booklet at the end of the trip.

    *Students who participate in the program will receive a certificate of completion : A certificate of completion for participation in courses at private schools/A certificate of completion for the entire program, etc.
